How to delete what Paperwell: PDF Scanner & Sign stores on your phone or has sent to us. There is no account to close.

Your documents

Your scans, their text, your signatures, folders and settings are only on your phone. We never receive them, so only you can delete them:

• Delete a document in the app (it goes to Recently deleted; empty that in Settings to remove it straight away), or
• delete the app. On Android you can also go to Settings › Apps › Paperwell › Storage › Clear storage.
• If you turned on PDF copies (iCloud Drive on iPhone, or a folder you chose on Android), delete those copies from that place yourself.

Support messages

If you contacted us, email [email protected] from the same address and ask us to delete your messages. We delete your email address, name, messages and the app details you sent within 30 days and confirm by email. Otherwise we delete support messages after two years.

Usage and crash reports

These use a random app ID, not your name or email, and are deleted automatically: analytics events after 14 months, crash reports after 90 days. Deleting the app stops them and resets the ID. If you want us to delete them sooner, email us roughly when you used the app and we will do what we can.

Purchases

Payments are handled by Apple or Google. Our record of your purchase status (kept by RevenueCat under a random ID) is kept as long as needed to provide what you bought and for tax and accounting rules. To cancel a subscription: on iPhone, Settings › your name › Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions.
